Going somewhere to work, live, or simply visit?
Do you know how best to get around town?

Based on our survey data and on-site experience, AIRINC developed a limited edition calculator for 30 world cities to help assess what the most cost-effective option is for new assignees, based on family size, duration of stay, commuting distance, and typical practice. Our goal is to leverage our data to help you make the best decisions for your assignees and business. All data included from Q4 2019 and Q1 2020. For updated information, please reach out.

What is the Impact?

Car Ownership amounts are sourced from our Vehicle Cost Analysis Report and assume a 3-year lease payment and account for the cost of operation (maintenance, fuel, insurance, and fees). Car type (moderate sedan or SUV) varies by family size. Where usage is typical, the cost of a driver is also factored in. As parking is highly variable by location within a city and across lodging arrangements, it is excluded here.

  • Car Rental amounts are sourced from our Short-term Allowance Calculator. Amounts reflect daily, weekly, or monthly rates based on duration of stay. Car type (moderate sedan or SUV) varies by family size.
  • Public Transportation amounts are taken directly from survey and our Public Transportation Report. AIRINC regularly collects prices for single tickets and passes where available. This calculator also models behavior based on the usability and safety of the transportation network, typical assignee preferences, and family size.
  • Taxi & Rideshare amounts are sourced directly from survey and our Public Transportation Report. AIRINC regularly collects prices for both taxis and rideshares, where available. Usage assumptions vary by type of assignment and family size.
