International Pricing Data Analyst

Description

The selected candidate will learn specific procedures for analyzing a wide variety of international survey and consumer data. This quantitative analysis forms the foundation for data products used by 900 multinational companies to compensate expatriate staff worldwide. The Goods & Services group interacts with AIRINC’s Client Engagement & research teams. Most applications involve the comparison of living costs between and among a diverse group of international locations, the analysis of consumer prices for inflation in these locations, as well as qualitative analysis of safety, security and living conditions. The job will include performing this general analysis, as well as customizing the data analysis to meet the needs of the department and Client Engagement staff. Some international travel for field research and business training will be necessary.

AIRINC seeks an individual with a Bachelor’s Degree and 2 to 5 years of prior work experience. A fluent command of basic math analysis techniques is necessary. This includes comfort with weighted averages, algebra, and interpretation of various forms of graphic displays. The interest in and ability to frame word descriptions into math representations is an example of this orientation. Strong computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Excel and macros is highly valuable. Strong project management skills, including the ability to work well independently under quarterly deadlines. A personal attitude that is service-oriented and flexible with a willingness to learn from more experienced workers is necessary.

Prior experience with international travel and overseas living conditions are helpful in this position as well as prior exposure to database management activities in particular SQL, basic understanding of VBA, and/or statistical analysis.

Qualifications

  • Strong computer proficiency in Excel and macros is highly valuable

  • Exposure to database management and basic understanding of VBA preferred
  • Knowledge of Tableau is desired
