Lump-Sum Allowance Plan (LSA)

Saving costs and simplifying the relocation process are the key drivers of the Lump-Sum Allowance program. The Lump-Sum Allowance provides a single, up-front payment to the transferee for travel related expenses for homefinding, temporary living, and the final move. Each report is customized to reflect the employee's family size and the company-specific policies governing these expenses, and includes detail on such costs as airfare, hotel and corporate apartment lodging, meals, car rental, child care, and pet boarding.

Lump-Sum Financial Impact Model

The Lump-Sum Financial Impact Model objectively quantifies the costs of a client’s expense-reporting process compared to those of a Lump-Sum Allowance program. The analysis is based on input supplied by the client, specific to their organization. It considers multiple factors: the total compensation representative of the relocatee, and of the other people involved in the expense-reporting process, the tasks performed by each person, and the time spent by each person to perform the task. The model systematically follows the expense-reporting paper trail and quantifies these costs at every step along the way. The model also can incorporate regained productivity realized from the relocatee’s reduced time in temporary living.
