STRATEGIC ALLIANCE WITH HEWITT ASSOCIATES

AIRINC is pleased to announce a strategic alliance with Hewitt Associates in Greater China effective October 1, 2009. As China-based multinational organizations continue to expand globally, they need a comprehensive suite of powerful tools and solutions to address the challenges of a global workforce. Correspondingly, organizations operating in China are discovering the ever-increasing challenges of a complex marketplace. The combined strengths of Hewitt Associates in Greater China and AIRINC will give these organizations a unique resource to help in meeting these challenges.

Hewitt’s extensive compensation and benefits consulting practice, with over 15 years in China, will combine with AIRINC’s deep and wide-ranging expertise in global mobility to provide both local and foreign-invested enterprises in China with an onsite presence and unsurpassed knowledge of global best practices in expatriation compensation. One of the first collaborations will be a study on Expatriate Compensation in Greater China, due to be released in early December.

This year’s changes were driven in large part by two factors: significant fluctuations in world currencies relative to the U.S. Dollar and currencies pegged to it; and sagging rental markets in Asia and the Far East, which were hard hit by this year’s financial and housing crises. In combination, these factors made locations in developing countries more affordable to Western expatriate staff than they had been in previous years.
