AIRINC Partners with Miller & Cambridge in India

May 22, 2012 - Hong Kong - AIRINC (Associates for International Research, Inc.) has partnered with the HR advisory and consulting firm Miller & Cambridge to expand its networks and increase local market support in India. The only global mobility consultancy that conducts on the ground data surveys in more than 400 cities worldwide, AIRINC has been developing and implementing tools and services to facilitate and support expatriate compensation systems for globally mobile organizations since 1954. With over 850 client accounts and offices in Cambridge MA, USA; London, UK; Brussels, Belgium; Amsterdam, Netherlands; and Hong Kong, AIRINC’s presence is steadily growing.

As mentioned in an earlier press release summarizing AIRINC’s global expansion strategy, AIRINC continues to foster deep vertical relationships with key HR firms in key geographic regions that will give its clients greater value in terms of local market expertise. Along with these partnerships, AIRINC will be better able to reach locally-based organizations that are becoming truly globally-oriented and are in need of data, tools, and advice to address the unique challenges of an increasingly diverse and mobile workforce.

"Instead of offering ’one size fits all’ solutions, we provide the best solution for each company based upon its unique mobility profile, including factors such as organizational context, mobility drivers, and talent needs," says Scott Sutton, AIRINC’s Global Marketing Director.

Miller & Cambridge Director Dev Tripathy has more than a decade of experience in international HR management. Prior to founding the company, he was the head of the International HR and HR M&A function for the Essar Group, where he championed the group’s global HR Service Delivery Platform and engineered its global rewards and remuneration framework. Armed with much experience and plenty of useful insight into India’s economy and corporate culture, Tripathy provides AIRINC with a better perspective on the requirements of Indian multinationals, as well as strong networks in the Indian HR industry.

According to Tripathy, the international expansion of Indian companies and recent acquisitions by Indian companies outside India is creating a huge demand for global mobility specialists, and this demand will grow.

"We approached AIRINC because their ability to customize solutions for clients according to individual needs is very much aligned with our bespoke, case-specific approach. We provide AIRINC with in-depth understanding of global mobility issues in India and we offer valuable consulting capabilities to their clients in India. In terms of HR goals, we and AIRINC both endeavor to provide excellent data quality and superior solutions to global mobility challenges," says Tripathy.

Mumbai-based Miller & Cambridge is now the preferred agent for AIRINC in India. Fred Schlomann, Managing Director of AIRINC Hong Kong, believes that Miller & Cambridge’s excellent work ethic and solution-focused approach are a good fit with AIRINC.

"We decided on Miller & Cambridge because like us, they value quality over quantity. While global mobility has always been part of Indian corporate culture, it is happening in a much broader context today. Markets like China and India have unique requirements, so it is vital that we have a connection at the local level," says Schlomann
