Interview with Save the Children International and AIRINC

As an NGO, Save the Children International must be extremely cost conscious, and it therefore faces different challenges from the ones faced by a corporation in structuring its global mobility program. Wilma Van Dommelen, Save the Children International’s Global Reward Manager, recently sat down with AIRINC to discuss the structure the organization has created to confront these challenges, and to explain how that structure has been implemented for international assignees in over 70 remote locations.
Save the Children International is the world’s leading independent organization for children, delivering change in 120 countries. With international assignees in over 70 remote locations, Save the Children International has created and implemented a strategic new global salary structure tailored for an NGO and supported by AIRINC data. AIRINC’s Kay Hall recently sat down with SCI’s Global Reward Manager, Wilma Van Dommelen, to learn more about the organization’s new approach to global mobility and how it fits within budgetary constraints and facilitates better overall coordination of SCI’s international programs for children.
