Long Term Assignments - Lower Cost Alternatives
The Right Package for The Right Assignment
The traditional full expatriate package is still used by many companies for long-term assignments. However, many companies have added an alternative lower cost package to their mobility programs. Alternative packages can be as simple as a reduced home-based balance sheet or as sophisticated as host or hybrid-based approaches like local-plus, better-of-home-or-host, or lump sum. With two or more long-term assignment options becoming more common, companies are looking to match the right package to the right assignment. This half-day roundtable will explore these different types of packages, when to use them, what works well, and what to avoid.
