Hardship
Evaluations
Since living conditions around the world vary widely, it is more difficult to transfer employees to some locations than to others. However, determining which locations are more challenging and which are less so can be a time-consuming and politically-charged process. One person’s bustling city with diverse cultural and recreational activities may be another’s crowded, inhospitable urban sprawl.
AIRINC’s proprietary hardship evaluation scoring system provides an objective assessment of the level of physical threat, discomfort, and inconvenience to expatriate families in any given location. Hardship scores can then be used to help clients establish equitable hardship payment programs. As needed, AIRINC can work with clients to develop scales for translating scores into hardship payment levels.
